On our very first day out we anchored the Hanse Explorer at Port Williams, the world’s southernmost city. It is a small Chilean town only a couple of hours from Ushuaia. We got off for a last walk before heading out to the Cape the next morning. Only 2000 people live in this settlement founded in 1953, serving primarily as a naval base.
