Détails du projet
M/Y HANSE EXPLORER is a large 158ft /48 m serious adventure expedition motor yacht built by the German company Fassmer Werft and launched in 2006.
On February 8th, 2012 the ice strengthened, 48 meter (158 foot) ship will begin a 33 day journey from the end of the world, Cape Horn, to the beginning of humanity, Cape of Good Hope.
NOMAD Industries has chartered the amazing vessel with the capacity to safely carry a few selected individuals across the sub-antarctic sea, to the most remote place on the planet, Bouvet Island. Included in the route are stops in South Georgia, Saunders Island, Bouvet Island where some of us may attempt an ascent to its summit, an extinct volcano. Then Kerguelen Island, Crozet Archipelago, Marion Island and finally Cape Town.
Hanse Explorer is a certified ice breaker yacht (with an extra thick steel hull) with ice class GL-E3. It can explore absolutely all around the world.
To protect the environment there is a highly efficient water conditioning system that allows the yacht to cruise even the most sensitive areas of the world. Highly efficient stabilizers reduce the vessel’s role and ensures that it is also comfortable to stay on board during heavy sea.
The Hanse Explorer also has the latest electronic navigational charts, including a secondary device in the lounge so that the passengers can observe the position of the vessel any time.
